Our Founder’s Passion

Kayali was founded by beauty mogul Huda Kattan, who has Middle Eastern roots and a lifelong love of fragrance. As a little girl, Huda adored her grandmother’s perfume collection and would spend hours sniffing the beautiful glass bottles. She dreamed of one day creating a line of fragrances that celebrate the exotic richness of Middle Eastern ingredients and traditions.

After achieving global success with her cosmetics company HUDA Beauty, Huda decided the time was right to make her perfumery dreams a reality. She launched Kayali in 2018 with a mission to break fragrance stereotypes and capture unique scent stories.

Evocative Arabian Nights Inspiration

The inspiration for Kayali stems from the mysteries and riches of Arabia. Huda wanted to bottle the exoticism of an Arabian night filled with incense, spices, blooming florals, and sweet delicacies.

The packaging reflects this inspiration with ornate gold accents, jewel tones, and references to decorative Middle Eastern patterns. Each fragrance has a mystical story and is named in Arabic to connect with the brand’s heritage.

Kayali encapsulates femininity, empowerment, and luxury. The woman who wears these fragrances is bold, unapologetically confident, and embraces her inner strength.

While inspired by Middle Eastern culture, Kayali fragrances are designed in France and made with the finest ingredients from around the world.

Master perfumers crafted each fragrance to perfectly balance depth and diffusion. Precious oils like Turkish rose, Moroccan jasmine, and Oud wood add richness and complexity. Fruity top notes of juicy pear, red apple, and fresh raspberry intertwine with spice, vanilla, and musk.

We never use synthetic ingredients – only pure extracts of the world’s most exceptional flowers, fruits, resins, spices, and woods. Our oils are ethically-sourced and of the highest quality.
